Coming Soon!As you are walking through runescape, you may notice some of runescapes million trees. You may also notice, that a majority of these trees have a "chop" option. Using your Woodcutting, you can cut down these trees, for logs. The logs you cut, can be sold on the grand exchange for money, Fletched using the Fletching skill, made into planks for construction, or lit on fire using the Firemaking skill. How woodcutting can help you.
There are many different ways you can make money from woodcutting. There are also ways in which you make very little from woodcutting. As you read this guide further, you will learn many of these different ways to train woodcutting.
"When I try to cut a tree, it says i need an axe with a woodcutting level to use"
Well to start woodcutting, you do need an axe. There are 8 different types of axes. Axes can break if a tree turns to an ent. To avoid them breaking, stop cutting that tree until the ent goes away

You can also cut down bushes and "jungle" bushes with a machete using the woodcutting skill. There are no requirements to use machetes to cut, but there are requirements as to what bushes you can cut.
Types of Trees
There are 16 different types of trees you can cut. If you use "Lumberjack Clothing" you can receive an extra xp bonus while woodcutting. Each piece gives a small xp bonus, but we will only show the xp bonus for the full set. You need an axe to cut a tree, or a machete to cut jungle.

Woodcutting Transportation (Members Only)
There are five different canoe stations.
They run from Lumbridge to The Champions Guild, The Champions Guild To Barbarian Village, Barbarian Village to Edgeville, and Edgeville to Level 35 wilderness near the moss giants. Please note: there is no canoe to take back from level 35 wilderness so you must walk out or go to level 20 wilderness or less and teleport out.

Other Woodcutting Information (Members Only)
While woodcutting, Birds Nests can fall out of trees. Birds nests can have seeds, eggs, and rings inside of them. The eggs are used for summoning (level 50 for raven 70 for god birds).
You can also make Fremennik items with woodcutting. This ability is used during the "Fremennik Isles" quest (see quest guides for guide).

- Money Making with Woodcutting
Always Bank your logs and sell them for money
Level 1 - 15: Cut Normal Logs.
Level 15 - 30: Cut Oak Logs.
Level 30 - 50: Cut Willow Logs.
Level 50 - 60: Cut Maple Logs.
Level 60 - 80: Cut Yew Logs.
Level 80 - 99: Cut Magic Logs.
Please Note: 80-99 Woodcutting with Magic Logs will take A LOT of dedication.

Level 1 - 15: Cut Normal Logs.
Level 15 - 30: Cut Oak Logs.
Levels 30 - 99: Cut Willow Logs.
Please Note: If you dont think Willow Logs are good xp, they were actually proven the fastest way to get 99 Woodcutting in runescape.
